Peter, Re: "So far, AMD still has the performance crown. I just read the nForce review at techhard. The Athlon XP 1900+ beats the P4 2000 in ALL tests (including Quake3)."

Looking at your link, I can see that the Athlon XP 1900+ does beat the Pentium 4 in all the tests, but I was surprised that the 2.0GHz Pentium 4 was keeping up with the Athlon XP 1800+, even in Max Payne, a game that some reviewers show as entirely favoring the Athlon. If the Pentium 4 is already this close to the Athlon on an nForce board, I think it's pretty natural to assume that Northwood might add enough to give Intel the advantage again.

Intel - gotta get to Northwood! ;-)
