1.2GHz Celeron the bee's knees theinquirer.net

A curious story from Mad Mike.

The Celeron in its Pentium III rev has a clear year before cut-down Pentium IVs take the stage, and roadmaps revealed by the INQUIRER show there's a fair amount of mileage in the .13 micron process for the part. Plus it's cheap and cheerful.

There are shedloads of the chips in stock, said the integrator, and availability is good, with the parts only costing $106 boxed versus $245 boxed for the Pentium III at 1.2GHz.

But: a pricewatch search currently comes up with two (2) vendors of the part. Odd, that.
