In yesterday's vote, San Francisco voters overwhelmingly (73%-27%) passed a 100 million dollar bond to build solar and wind electricity generation facilities. It is being hailed locally as an example for other cities to follow, in California and elsewhere.

I think it's pretty obvious this is good for the solar market going forward.

Another small stock with a lot of solar exposure is gaiam (NASD:GAIA), which owns both Real Goods and Jade Mountain, two of the largest retailers of solar panels and equipment.
