Milo, Re: "Based on what OCer's are able to due, I don't think that is a REAL concern. Hammer is going to debut between 2.0Ghz and 2.5Ghz next year, and Jerry said no problem going over 3.0Ghz( to a 10000+ rating), so they must have some anecdotal evidence already."

A) Overclocking headroom has little relevance to what AMD can ship in volume form.
B) Hammer is said to debut at 2GHz, not 2-2.5GHz (where did you hear that).
C) Jerry Sanders should not be trusted with his empty promises about CPU releases. The Athlon XP 1.53GHz launched 10 months later than Jerry originally said it would.
D) Model 10000+ is a purely subjective rating from AMD. They can call their 2GHz chip a model 10000+ if they wanted to.

Re: "P4 up to 10Ghz isn't going to save INTC from losing share and we've not seen anything above 2.0Ghz which is=1.533Ghz XP"

It's funny that you have more faith in rumored or of the cuff remarks about AMD's ability to hit or beat schedules than you have in Intel's repeated public assertions of theirs.

Did you realize that more than one keynote at MPF discussed the prospect of 10GHz processors? It's true, and while Intel was mentioned as needing support for reaching that milestone, there was not a single mention of AMD.
