Sometimes in life, we go through these wilderness experiences, but God has "not forgotten us," and He is still in control. This is our chance to reiterate that we trust Him. I think I said that I prayed to have the gift of Faith. I realize that He is teaching me to have more. We just can't see His big picture, but there is one, and it will prevail!
I have lived in the South, the West, the Southwest and the Midwest. People are suffering from unemployment everwhere. We are actually citizens of Heaven! :)
I got a letter from my school, on the West Coast, that said 47% of the faculty had gotten jobs elsewhere, over the past several years, and these are people who were well compensated for a school. It's indicative of the economy, and the cost of living.
I do not fully know the job situation, in Austin. Have you tried Dell? I am praying for you wife, Jordan and you. I am still consulting, which gives me the time for my son.
