My Personal Experience

Ever since I was a young child, I have been fascinated by go-go boots. During the 70’s I used to open department store catalogs and stare at all the knee-high zippered boots. Images of girls in go-go boots on television would hold me spellbound. I would watch football games just for a glimpse of the cheerleaders zipped into their white boots. In elementary school I was lucky enough to have a few teachers who regularly work black or brown zippered boots. You can imagine what an attentive student I was. Early in my college career, I purchased my first pair of white go-go boots through the Sears catalog. I still have those boots and have been amassing my collection ever since. Today the sight of a woman in white go-go boots still makes me melt every time. My wife knows all about my hobby and regales me with tales of her childhood when every year she would go to the store and pick out a pair of white, and a pair of black zippered, knee-high go-go boots. Whenever my wife emerges from her closet sporting a pair of snug, white boots from our collection, I thank my lucky stars and know that life doesn’t get any better than this.
