>> Would a 45 patient phase II prostate trial at three or more clinical sites across Canada count as a large, multi-center trial? <<
No.
You are quoting a man with no publications that I can find (despite a long career at the Alberta Research Council, who appears to have no background in the pharma industry or with the development of drugs, and who, when clinicals for reolysin were projected to start Spring 2000, projected that pivotal trials would be completed and approval would come such that marketing could begin "late 2002, early 2003".
Good luck. You've placed your investment bucks in the hands of rank amateurs. I hope that the experience turns out to be a good one. We can use a cancer cure or two, and this one has fun biology behind it. We heard similar noises, and great claims, from Onyx. So you'll have to excuse the "jade".
I've made my call. If I'm wrong, be sure to hurry back and let me know. Despite what Dr. Thompson says, you won't be back until 2005 at the earliest.
That's the very best "pompous ass" that I can do, hope it's sufficient.
Next time that you show up in a thread and ask for opinions? Be sure to tell us that we're supposed to say "sensational, can't miss". Thanks in advance.
