Fuji, Sony, Maxell Zip Disks

Last night, I went to a Future Shop store here in the Toronto area and discovered that they sold several brands of Zip disks. They were made by Fuji, Sony, and Maxell. They were also cheaper than Iomega brand
Zip disks.

People have been discussing that the disks are more profitable than the drives for Iomega. If other companies are making Zip disks, then Iomega will be losing their disk sales to these companies.

Does Iomega have a deal with them? Do they get royalties from the sale of Zip disks under another brand?

I sure hope they get a royalty because I ended up buying the Fuji brand!
