<<The good thing is this. Doc can't remember a recent trend change that didn't start with a false breakout and whipsaw through an important trendline or chart level (aka support and resistance). >>

I've said this before, I know, but the thing is that when we finally DO reverse trend to a "bull market," it's gonna look exactly like this: break of trendline, breakout, etc. It just won't be false. And we won't know that at the time. I think many bears are getting as cocky now as the bulls were back in 2000 (myself included!). Back then, every dip really was a buying opportunity. . . for a while. In 2001, trendline breaks have been selling opportunities. That'll be true until it isn't, and my guess is that a lot of the doom and gloomers will still be saying "false breakout!!!" on the move that ultimately isn't.

Of course, I tend to think this rally isn't the start of an even bigger rally. . . but just cuz I think that doesn't make it so, even if I maintain an impervious attitude.

Hmmm. . . market gonna rock on or double top today? Fascinating stuff. . . .
