All in all, I think you got away lucky ! When I built my new machine - for Windows 2000 - I splurged on 128 Meg of DRAM (about 1 year ago). When I kept hearing the hard disk spinning, I upgraded to 256 Meg - problem solved - speed went up nicely !. I then doubled that to 512 Meg for "safekeeping" ! As a friend of mine and I used to say (the infamous tcmay) Memory is Free ! Paul
