Customs agents everywhere collect amusing questions - during Viet Nam somewhere on the 49th parallel a US agent was asked 'If i visit for less than two weeks do i still have to register for the draught?' .... one time i'm getting off a flight from LAX in New Zealand and the couple in front of me asked the customs guy 'do you live in Auckland?' ... guy says yes, well duh that's where the airport is ... so the woman then says as statement 'well then you must know my Aunt Xxxx, she lives right here in Manurewa' ..... greater Auckland has about a million people, and Manurewa is not really in it, but about an hour to the south .... doubly funny because she pronounced it man-YOOR-wah instead of man-yoo-REE-wah ... the guy never broke his polite smile, just said no sorry i don't ... almost returned my wink when they left though
