Interesting points. Agree that AG wants people to feel positive about their 401ks. This is a good setup for major rallies in the markets. Although Zeev's Turnips are predicting a retest of the lows, it is hard to believe it is possible given the current interest rates. Why would someone want to dump fairly safe stocks (PEs 5 to 20) that have low PEs in favor of money market funds. If they do sell, there will be just too much demand for the same types of stocks, preventing the drop. This will also extend to the growth stocks and therefore prevent any major drop in the markets, imho.

I am looking for a steady climb in the market with the odd pullback; maybe the market will not rocket but it can move higher in the low interest rate environment as long as we see signs recovery; the news coming out of the tech companies has also been getting better.

Both stories below are positive for the markets--especially the one on money market funds.

Money market funds hit another RECORD HIGH in the last week.

Equity Funds had 8 bilion in inflows. Also like the fact that international funds are also getting inflows.
