The fight is on with the Islamists, major showdown today.. We must try to avoid the serious clash of religions and civilization and should try to get out of this dangerous situation that could destroy every body just for the sake of some individuals like Osama and Mulla Omar who are wrongly championing the cause of the Muslims. Interior minister of Pakistan today, the naming of Gul and Beg and official condemnation of Osama-Omar axis on eve of major showdown called by Islamists is in my opinion a moral victory for Pakistan breaking the bondage of blind slavery, a very small step but a major change in direction. All these events are unheard and unravelling a new direction, I hope we will make it.

The government says that "we want to make Pakistan a modern and a moderate state where the narrow minded religious people deprived of the logic and reasons had no right to dictate their own brand of Islam to any body.

The detention of Jamaate-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad is a major step, no one had ever dared do that, he is now holed in his house under detention, if we pass tomorrow peacefully that will be a big victory.
