Recent immigrants are opposed to open borders, as they know that new imigrants, and commuter immigrants, will take away their low wage jobs by acepting even lower wages. It's the plantation system of today, Skeeter. The American dream does not exist for these people. What does exist for them is simply a lesser nightmare then they used to live. Victor
