More "proof" of the righteous superiority of the oh so moral, honest, and integrity-laden repoobs, I suppose.

Why did Enron lie about their earnings?


After all, who cares about earnings? Poor earnings don't seem to have any detremental effect, just look at the p/e's on all the major indices.

The really interesting thing is that the Enron scam is almost certainly not unique to that company. When the only thing that matters to management is
holding up the stock price, integrity is an afterthought.
