NVDA conference call is very interesting. I would recommend people listen to it as some many well known semiconductor analysts were asking questions. I think they were really probing to find out how PC demand is right now.
The graphics processor company that has the largest market share to PC sales is one great source for some answer to this question.

The most bullish PC demand commentary that I have heard in over 1 year--driving force Windows XP and Pentium 4 ramp according to them. Joe Osha and Mark Edlestone had questions about PC demand and were probably very surprised to hear how bullish the company was.

It may not be a factor short term if traders are expecting a drop in the Nasdaq (technical reasons maybe) but in the intermediate term, it may be very significant. It is just some evidence of how strong the PC market is getting due to the launch of Windows XP along with the simulataneous ramp up of Pentium 4.
