For one thing, information technology has resulted in being able to identify problems before they totally get out of control. Can you imagine where we'd be without 10 rate cuts, massive increases in the money supply, a tax rebate, and an economic stimulus package? It's a close call, but I'm guessing we'll avoid a lengthy recession. jmho, uf
