I believe in fixing society by digging deep into the heart of America... by turning the U.S. into LBJ's dream of a "Great Society" ... by examining our foundation, then repairing the cracks one by one. We can't ignore our deep-seated problems. We must address them. We must discuss the role of the United States in the World of Islam. There must be dialogue. We cannot afford to simply flex our muscle, and then pat ourselves on the back when bin Laden is captured. To do nothing will put your grandchildren, and mine, in harm's way years, even decades, from now. You know that.
