Bombardier takes Johnson 4S to keep that brand afloat:

OMC had been using Evinrude as their premier line and Johnson as their economy line, only using Ficht in the Evinrude motors. That wouldn't work for 2006 emission laws.

Have you heard Honda will offer their new 4S PWC in two engine configurations, the second one the first turbocharged PWC? They had to add turbocharging to keep up with the Sea Doo DFI boats (no kidding). Price tag on the turbo Honda will be ugly. Turbochargers in gasoline-powered boats are a no-no, particularly in PWC's which have poor passive bilge ventilation and no blower for prestart positive ventilation. Turbochargers get really hot, and set up the ideal situation for a vapor explosion in the event of a fuel leak. Honda is betting the relatively low fuel pressure of 4S won't put them in the situation that caused the (literally) exploding Ficht Ram motors. But a lot of owners are in for a rude awakening when they reach into the engine compartment and meet a searing hot turbo housing.

And Sea Doo is so worried most buyers won't pay extra for their new 4S PWC - which is slower than the cheaper DFI version - that they've given the 4S version of the GTX an improved hull as an added selling point:
