A quote from an arbitrage trader I'd never bet against in the short-term -g-: "There seems to be a "weakness" in the arbitrage programs, almost as if someone ran out of money both yesterday and today at critical times. On four of the last five days, a turning point seems to occur at about 1:45 to about 2:00." He's got a point - he sent me a message yesterday morning that has always led to 150-point gains in the Dow - yesterday was the first day those gains didn't hold.
