AMAT does look very good, thanks. i don't discount the potential for a rally so perhaps you're correct about the market. the one observation i will put forth is this: the market has shown an impressive ability to shrug off bad news. the lack of appreciable events post earnings may in fact prevent the market from moving much higher here...no wall of worry to climb.

sadly, my opinion regarding retail sales during the holiday period is not very optimistic. this discussion of course leaves out the required technical banter...of which we probably would disagree as well -g-
