It is like taking candy from a baby; it is a human reaction to defend yourselves and Israel spins it for their purposes. Yes, this is why Hamas runs a campaign of suicide bombers. Even if it fails to force an Israeli withdrawal, the Israeli closures and reprisals help radicalize the situation. Without the violence, Palestinian rights would not even be an issue. Their uprising is a necessity. Seems to me they were an issue in the Oslo framework, the Camp David talks, the Taba talks. The most idiotic part of this intifada is that Arafat started it in response to the best offer he had ever gotten, without even a counter proposal, and in doing so he destroyed the basis for the negotiations.
