Compaq Director Sold 124,596 Company Shares

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Enron Corp. (ENE) Chairman and Chief Executive Kenneth L. Lay, a director of Compaq Computer Corp. (CPQ), sold 124,596 shares of Compaq common stock Oct. 29, according to a Form 4 released Friday by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Lay sold the shares for $9.25 each and held 340,724 shares after the sales.

Compaq shares recently traded at $7.79 each, down 20 cents.

Compaq develops, makes and markets computer hardware, software and services.
