hi drea,

cool site. i've made some of those for my girl scouts. before i got sick i used to have a summer camp for girl scouts every summer. we did all kinds of fun recipes. i always had a unit set up for the leaders son's to keep them busy all day while mom worked with the girls. one of their favorite things was "kick-the-can" ice cream:

supplies:

1 1lb coffee can
1 2 or 3 lb. coffee can
duct tape
rock salt
crushed ice

ingredients:

2 quart homogenized milk
2 cans sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon vanilla

mix up real good. pour into the 1 lb. can leaving an inch at the top. tape plastic cover on tightly.
place can in the center inside of the larger can. pour crushed ice in around the smaller can.
pour rock salt in to fill up the can and tape lid on the large can securely.

hand it to your boys and let them kick it back and forth between them (on the driveway) for about 15 minutes.
open large can. pour out water. refill with ice and salt and roll again for 15 mins. then it's ready to eat. amazes the kids that they made ice cream. amount serves 18-20 adjust down for amount of kids and cans. might be fun for one of you ball team cookouts.
