XCR, I was in the local BBY & CC this week, and I talked with the managers and one district manager from CC. The reason I sought them out was I noticed both are full to the rafters with computers, monitors, printers, etc. They all are expecting a big shopping season going into Xmas. And the BBY store was expecting more inventory. Judging by the way people were buying, I think they have it right, a busy season for electronics.
The funny thing is, I needed a new printer, for my digital camera (Olympus D-510) and it turned out that the Office Depot store had the one I wanted for $30 less than BBY & CC..An HP Photosmart 1000. (And yes, I ratbuy everything)
I agree with what you say about the post office, to a point. Upper management has always been a political grazing ground for connected people.
However, my local delivery guy is the best, and the local post office is very well run and they usually have some home made cookies on the counter. And I can sit in there & shoot the sh*t for hours on crappy days. Like the days of old...
Eveybody wants a bail-out.... What about the retired people who depend on short term interest from cd's & mm account to live on? The FED has shoved it up their rears, but no one talks about that, yet. |
