Looked back to see what processor our latest PC is running.

I bought a tower PC for my wife in September. It has an AMD chip in it running at 1.0 GHz.

P.S. I refuse to open the box and touch it to feel the temperature.

As an average consumer I could care less about running temps. This PC was priced very favorably.
That was the major selling point. Okay, I wanted to get her a PC running at least 1.0 GHz so she
didn't feel short-changed, but the origin of the processor wasn't a major concern.

I guess running temps for processors are viewed in much the same way as write speeds for flash cards.
Seems like only the computer/photography afficianados really appreciate the differences.

What she really loves is the LCD screen!

BTW, hope that SSTI does pick up some new PC BIOS business on non-Intel-based PC's.
