TC, thanks a lot. Its actually my girlfriends computer. It is not a PIII, but an AMD chip comparable to PII 500 or so, will try and get the exact chip. the printer is a lexmark cheapie. What's weird is that everything worked fine, then just stopped for Word.
Here is the exact message received: At boot-up: "Error Starting program (yellow triangle with exclamation point)- " A required .DLLL file, BR_SRVC.dll was not found" this appeared in a gray rectangle on desk top during startup. hitting OK allowed the computer to boot. Machine booted fine, could open word, could type in text in a new document. When we tried to save this new file, got the message from Mr Paperclip: (red X)"Micro.word Word has insufficient memory. Do you want to save document as Rescued Document Yes or No.
If you saves this new as rescued documnet, it would do so. if you clicked on "file-print" got the message "There is not enough memory or disk space the complete the operation.
It is an HP model 6330, 32 ram is correct, and is an AMD chip comparable to a PII 400-500 or so.
Thanks for the link you provided and would greatly appreciate any other thoughts or links. Her son, very puter knowledgeable will be home next week, so any clues will hopefully help him solve it.
In appreciation, if i have any stock tips that are guaranteed to give a 20+ or great return in 2 days, i will share it with you. ggg. larry
