Impressive technology, and Bishop and SGI are first-rate. You'll get no quarrel from me on that. My experience with innovation and technology has been in a different arena, biomedicine. I can tell you that the overwhelming lesson again and again and again is that advances and breakthroughs and new treatments and technologies are never as good as they at first appear to be. They never surprise you to the upside over time. Yet, each time something new comes along, it is astonishing how people (myself included) can forget that lesson, and think that the new thing will be just the solution we have been looking for. So, I've become somewhat jaded and biased by that I suppose. Some might label me a pessimist. But, I try to be a realist: the glass is not half-empty, nor half-full. It is half-occupied. It remains to be seen if the technologies you speak about will significantly impact the course and conduct of the war. I can only hope your enthusiasm for the technology and the major role it might play in the war turns out to be correct. If so, I will very, very happily eat crow. WS
