I've always believed thast CDMA was technically superior to TDMA. But haven't followed these holy wars since I sold Qualcom a couple of years ago. Is TDMA dead yet? How is GSM doing overseas? Is CDMA making inroads there as well? Exotic little Geotek has popped up opn the screen a few days ago along with noises about WILL (wireless in local loop) potential for India, China and Africa. Price is key in those markets. As someone said, the 1/2 the world that has not yet placed a telephone call is primarily shoeless as well.
