a pretty strange thing to say since these supply routes are our routes from Central Asia to Kabul and beyond, not theirs.

I'd bet the heavily Uzbek-related population of Mazur-e Sharif would be pretty unhappy with your solution too.

And finally, do you suppose we even might even find a good use for the Russian-built airbase at Mazur-e Sharif...
