When I attended college at LSU-Baton Rouge, a thousand years ago, my then-boyfriend roomed with a couple of guys from Sri Lanka, who had friends from all over the sub-continent. My own experience with native-style Indian food is that a little bit of curry is intended to be mixed with a great deal of rice.
