Elmer - No AMDroid ever questioned the "restatement" of AMD's Fab 30 wafer capacity. For 5 years, AMD has tooted their horn that Fab 30 had a 6,000 wafer starts/week . AMD's own Web Site contains the same information !!! amd.com Dresden, Germany Fab 30 8 inch 0.18 micron Class T100 6,000 Wafers/Week 90,000 sq. ft. Clean Room So...the question that Every AMDroid has NOT ADDRESSED is - Why has Fab 30's capacity suddenly DROPPED to 5000 wafer starts/week from 6,000 wafer starts/week? Early in the year, the Droids were butt-slapping themselves silly when AMD reported they were actually EXPANDING Fab 30 - with the additon of an upper story - or something to that effect. So - AMD expands FAB 30 - and capacity GOES DOWN !!! Why didn't the AMD-loving Osha Joe from Merrill pick up on this - after all, he IS GETTING PAID to analyze AMD - and he WAS PERSONALLY sucking up to Jerry at the analyst conference last week ! Something doesn't compute at AMD - and the AMDroids have turned OFF their computers ! Paul
