Hi DJ, Hedonistic reward to the self –
I will allow myself to continue raising my physical platinum and gold allocation in absolute and relative terms, slowly but steadily, not because I know what is going on around me, but because I do not, unless and until the clear final capitulation collapse that makes paper investments once more reasonable.
I will budget one longish holiday for 2002, to my home country, in case I need to move there to “bi nan” (Chinese words for avoid big cataclysmic trouble). A country floating on oil and gas, with basically happy and do-not-care-to-compete people, under the protection of the US aircraft carriers, privileged with the simply administrated and true British Common Law, and where, at least so far, the locally resident Crescent tribe and Cross clan are existing in harmony.
The world has changed, and hedonism has also been re-defined, to be simpler and more basic, summed up by one word, survival, even if we disappear into a time warp ending in 1929 – 1945.
