Why do people always take stuff out of context? And who put you judge over us to tell who is better than who? The citation is: Samuel I, 15:3 , where Samuel gives Saul his marching orders: "Now therefore go and smite Amalec and utterly destroy all that he hath. Spare him not nor covet anything that is his; but slay both man and woman, child and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." Saul went ahead and did as ordered, except he did not slay Agag, Amalec's king, and because of this disobedience, Saul lost the kingdom. Thus that is a clear fact of at least one instance where, the message of "The Lord" as conveyed by the prophet, calls for genocide. That is not a question, that is a fact, but does one conclude from here that that god promotes genocide in general? I don't think so, and that is what I suggested in my post. Unless you can erase this part of the bible, I do not see what is the argument you have.
