Foundrys don't give you the same feedback on their process or etest data, their device characterization data isn't freely available

why do you work with that foundry then ?


That foundry? They're all that way.

if running wafers is your only way to identify and fix speed paths, you are right but these days there are better solutions.

Sure sure, I've been hearing that for years and years. Unfortunately customers don't buy simulations, they buy silicon and fixing a simulation speedpath isn't what a customer pays for.
