First of all, there are more than 30 types of Linux OS systems. Second, almost every Linux site is pushing you to BUY the software and they will offer to ship you the CD-ROMs necessary to load it. The prices run from around $20 for the basic OS with no browser or any other apps. The highest price I found was Mandrake that was offering a SUBSCRIPTION package for a 7 CD set and the total cost was $179. A subscription package! Ain't that a coincidence. Dave
