but allow me to clarify something, I make no claim whatsoever to be knowledgeable in Islam or the Holy Qur'an... true, I read a lot, but not all about Islam... actually, I read the least about Islam if at all... it is a shame I know, especially that I am the one who created this thread... I thought the links provided in the original post will suffice... but obviously not...
If I answer someone by "why don't you do some reading on you own"... it is because I do not want to give an answer to an issue I do not know much about... and I believe that there must be an answer or reason for whatever the question was... if you want to call that an escape goat, then fine... simply, I am not qualified to answer some of the posted questions... is that acceptable to you ?
the links I provided in the original post provide a lot of information... I promised that I will try to find a link that clarifies the reasons behind the verses of Qur'an... I have not done much research on that yet, but will try to do so ASAP.
finally, this thread is for everyone who wants to find out about Islam... but, when someone comes and all his / her posts are attacks on Islam and calls it an evil religion and wants to engage me in what amounts to a war of words with me always being in the defensive... I opt to ignore that person for he / she appears to have made up his / her mind and is not really interested in finding out anything...
I would not resort to blocking anyone if I had some staff to respond to everyone and asnwer every question. I would have actually engaged people who post negatively of Islam and debunked what they posted... but I don't have such staff, and hence, I utilize the blocking feature.
