CNN is reporting that eyewitnesses reported fire coming out of the side of the plane before it crashed.

I am trying to verify how many unexplained crashes came out of JFK -

1) There was that weird Egypt Air Flight 990 crash in 1999, unexplained crash into the North Atlantic after takeoff from JFK. That's the one where the FAA decided that the pilot deliberately crashed the jet, although Egypt Air disputed it.

2) Swissair Flight 111 in 1996 - unexplained crash into the North Atlantic after takeoff from JFK.

3) TWA Flight 800 in 1998 - unexplained crash into the North Atlantic after takeoff from JFK. That's the one where eyewitnesses claimed to have seen a missile.

The Concorde crash was in Paris, in 2000, although the plane was on its way to JFK.
