Intel's ITanium gets CAD Software Support for Workstations

"Available for immediate delivery, the new products -- HyperFault®-64 and Silos®-64 -- are the first Verilog-HDL simulation products designed to take full advantage of the new Intel® Itanium(TM) processor running the 64-bit version of the Windows® XP operating system. This system combination enables the products to manage greater design capacity. Like the company's current product lines, Silos-64 brings Simucad's successful user-friendly logic simulator to high-end electronic circuits and system designers while the HyperFault-64 addresses the fault simulation needs of the largest chips currently under development. Both products run interactively using the graphical user interface (GUI) or in command-line mode. "

Simucad Launches First 64-Bit Verilog-HDL Simulation Products for PCs Running Windows XP

UNION CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 2001--Simucad®, Inc., an EDA industry leader in design behavioral simulation tools, today announced the latest addition to its family of state-of-the-art Verilog® Hardware Description Language (HDL) based logic and fault simulators.

Available for immediate delivery, the new products -- HyperFault®-64 and Silos®-64 -- are the first Verilog-HDL simulation products designed to take full advantage of the new Intel® Itanium(TM) processor running the 64-bit version of the Windows® XP operating system.

``With our new products, designers of large ASICs are no longer constrained by the 32-bit limitation of the previous generation of PCs,'' said Bob Floyd, president of Simucad. ``Silos-64 and HyperFault-64 enable designers to run larger volumes of simulations that contain millions of gates and huge test benches. And, it is easily accomplished within the familiar PC environment.''

Additional information about HyperFault-64 and Silos-64 can be obtained by contacting Simucad at 510/487-9700 or via email at sales@simucad.com. Other versions of Silos and HyperFault are available for Unix, Linux and 32-bit versions of Windows.
