ExciteAtHome Seeks to Sell Assets to InfoSpace

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (Reuters) - Bankrupt U.S. high-speed Internet service ExciteAtHome Corp. (ATHMQ.OB) on Friday said it agreed to sell certain assets related to its portal Excite.com to Internet and wireless services provider InfoSpace Inc. (Nasdaq:INSP - news) for $10 million.

The sale of the assets is subject to bankruptcy court approval and a bankruptcy court-supervised overbidding process, where bidders with higher and better offers may emerge.

The assets include certain domain names, trademarks and user traffic, but do not include physical assets, ExciteAtHome said. The agreement also provides for certain transition services to be provided by ExciteAtHome to InfoSpace.
