I agree with most of your optimistic, humanistic post. Point i want to add is the powerful potential of solar energy for the massive regions of globe where applicable-even better than nuclear source. Another positive for this solar source is that it doesn't tempt terrorists to confiscate or destroy the plants for their own nefarious goals. Biggest drawback so far seems to be that companies haven't found method to make it profitable for investment.
