CELPAGE has a large presence in Latin American countries through its associated companies in Argentina, Columbia, Costa Rica and Mexico. "Our partnership with CELPAGE is a result of the efforts Glenayre has made in its long-term commitment to the South American paging industry," said John Webster, Glenayre's area vice president of sales and operations for Latin America. "This agreement is the first step to larger nationwide and regional projects." Through the agreement, CELPAGE will purchase Glenayre's advanced high speed paging infrastructure, including the GL-3930 Operator Assisted Paging system, GL3000 Wireless Messaging Switches, GL-C2000 control system and GL- T8501/8601 transmitters. Glenayre's advanced system will provide CELPAGE the latest capabilities for alphanumeric paging as well as a simple migration path to two-way paging in the future.
