| There was no clear and present danger to the United Sates and it wasn't about saving others, it was about destroying the sandinistas. Explain to me, Tom, why it was the U.S. was selling arms, or was involved in selling arms to Iran (america's enemy). Please identify the points of honor (truth, justice, honesty all those things you hold dear) in those dealings with Iran. Also, the profits from such sales went to fund the contras. Please explain why that money was kept secret from congress and again, tell me where the honor is in holding back (dare I say lie) that information from congress and the public. Tell me, Tom, do you know what congress's position was on funding the contras covertly or even, overtly. Tell me Tom, was it a good thing the United States supported the Somoza family and would you like to see more of the same, that is support of dictators. Please explain. I'm curious to hear your cogent analysis. |
