Indeed. Servers at the other end of the Internet are unaware of your connection, regardless of type. All they see are IP packets with a return IP address. The only difference in having a DSL connection is that you can get the data faster if their server, gateway, and the intervening route will support it.

I reside in a tin cans+string area, insofar as the local Telco is concerned, so I'm jealous of this DSL talk. I run eSignal streaming quotes, Fidelity PowerStreet, email, and a browser window or two during the trading day, which pretty much chokes the 56k dial-up connection. Thank goodness the market closes before the kids get home and pounding on their keyboards......

My kingdom for DSL! :-(
