For whatever it is worth I must take a stand. Not in favor of John Galt per say, but certainly for his right to say what he feels, even if it is, in my opinion, a filthy lie.

Now how he goes about presenting what he, in my opinion, wrongly believes, is another matter, but again, that is not for me to judge.

I don't know the circumstances under which he was booted, so I cannot say that SI had no right to do such a thing. For all I know he may have been warned prior to his being booted that he cease and desist from whatever it was that caused his removal, and he chose not to take heed....

I don't know for sure, but I am willing to guess, that it was not for his stand against God.

There are many people here on SI who have taken that stand, and are still around to continue in that belief, so I think we can all safely assume that, his freedom of religion speech was not an issue, as someone had mentioned.

John Galt in my opinion, was no threat to God or any one who believed in God. There was never any question in my mind where JG stood in relation to God my Father....There was also never any question as to where JG stood in relation to Jesus the Christ, My Lord and Savior.....I could always be sure of where he was coming from and what he was really saying. Not true, unfortunately of some who preach the word of God, under the banner Jesus is Lord.

In my opinion christians have more to fear from those who call themselves christians, than they do people like JG.

And this my friend is not an indictment against christians either. It is to point out that just because some one claims to be a christian does not automatically put me at ease, I've lived too long and have seen too much to know better.....and I've seen the promised land.

In conclusion what I am stating is that JG has as much right to stand against God as I or anyone else has to stand For God, and that JG was no threat to me, and I do not believe that it was his stand against God that got him booted. If it was then the Ask God and Rock threads are at risk of being dissolved. And even in the case that it was not, those two threads are still at risk, if censorship is allowed to thrive....For we know not who will decide not to tolerate them any more.....and poof!!......

It does however, in the face of some rather criminally racists statements, made by at least one person on SI, that JG would be booted for just plain old foul language, and other racially motivated "hate speech" would be tolerated.!..

Also, in my opinion, unless JG comes to the point of asking God to forgive some of the filth he said of Him, then JG will have to answer to somenone a lot higher than SI....and who knows maybe he is finding the time to think about that now.....maybe...just maybe...

Neither God nor His Son Jesus are glorified by the words of JG,in fact they are sorely hurt, but God loves him no less than He does me, and He waits patiently for JG to accept that love in all sincerity and honesty....For it is the will of God, his Father, that no man perish, but only that all men come to repentance....

Have a good day Terrence
Shalom....><>
