Lindy, the 'rant' was an attack on your insistence on constantly politicizing foreign affairs. First, I listed examples of the "right" doing exactly what you accused "the left" of: Anti American speech and aiding terrorists.
This was to refute your repeated references such as: "the left in this country didn't even wait for the ashes to get cold at the trade towers before they started trotting out their "blame us:, "its oil and capitalism" "' (post 9079), 'academia is full of people who hate the rest of us' (post 8584), and my favorite 'academic intelectuals who hate their country, who condemn science and reason' (post 8629), 'the left is rigid on is dislike for American Culture' (9126). The point being "the left" had no lock on foolish behavior.

Then I plead with you to quit sling mud, and left you with examples of Americans who definitely had problems with America, but performed well in service of their country: Jessie Owen's folk faced segregation at home, Navaho folk live on the "rez", and Ike was of German descent running non-German armies destroying Germany. I consider that to be evidence that tolerating dissent is okay here. Finally a little speculation on Middle Eastern descent Americans giving crucial insight to the war on terrorism, unless not allowed to by dividers like you.
