Joe,

Adams Harkness reduced SFLX's earnings estimates today from $.23 to $.03 for the next quarter; from $.31 to $.23 for September 97 quarter, and from $.95. to $.65 for the FY 97....

WM Sharp had said that revisions on SFLX were all over the map from $.20 to $.04 for the next quarter and that Mr. Castleman was busy talking with analysts the last couple of days; so Adams Harkness must have been the "show me" analyst in that range of estimates. Right now at this price level, SFLX is a tempting target for an DIIG or INVX or Solectron, at least two of whom are actively trying to expand their flexchip businesses. I am going to sit tight and see what happens on this one.

Now I also find interesting the ramp up of production this quarter for the new Asian Hard Drive customer, as well as mention of the new FCOF program for WDC. Mr. Castleman is apparently still hopeful that SFLX will make its goal of $165-170 mm revenue for 1997....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
