So far this year, I've been trading on "trend" rather than "channel or corridor"

In trend, I try to look for reversal then hold the position until I see next reversal. This works great when the market is in bear market or bull market.

Not sure yet, but I think the market is going side way for a while. A short term trader might trade along the corridor of 35 to 40, going long in 35-6 and short in 39-40.

>>Inventory the factors... money markets at 2%, mutual funds buying tech they puked in Oct, evil software empire selling more XP than expected, and of course, seasonally strong period for stocks.

These are all good point, especially Nov through Jan. is historically strong season.

>>So is the question, how hard will it be to break 40 this week?

I don't think it will be broken that easily.

Good luck with your puts,

jon
