Hi Jewel, Thanks for the post on jihad. I'm still having trouble understanding, I think. Are you saying that, based on the basic beliefs of Islam WRT Allah, there cannot be a religious war? I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around that, as I'm used to the "God is on our side" fantasy and excuse for war, I guess. Your statement about "Wait till you who's in the Northern Alliance" was really timely. I was out this afternoon and listening to NPR and there was a long discussion about the rather ragtag nature of the NA. It's gonna be a long time till there's peace in Afghanistan, IMO.
