OK, today's logic lesson: NEW YORK, Nov. 13 — The dramatic final words of the captain and copilot of American Airlines Flight 587 indicate that the plane crash was the result of a “catastrophic” engine failure, not terrorism, officials said. Less than two minutes into the flight Monday morning, rattling noises are heard on the cockpit voice recorder, and 20 seconds later the pilots’ last words indicate they lost control of the plane just before it plummeted into a Queens, N.Y., neighborhood.

So let's see, if the engine fails catastrophically and the pilots lose control of the plane, then the cause of the crash is catastrophic engine failure and not terrorism. LOL Where do they get these guys? I don't suppose it's possible for a terrorist to, say, sabotage an engine, causing it to fail catastrophically, and have the crash be caused by the terrorist? And wasn't that plane inspected by mechanics just the day or so before? Oh, but we didn't hear a terrorist barge into the cockpit and pull out a box opener, which is the only way terrorists strike.

Saw a post somewhere that the first examination of the engine shows no bird remains. Oops...
